A farmer’s apiary of 100 Beehives which found no place to sell their honey in late ‘80’s had given thought to his undergraduate son about selling the same in 50g, 100 g, bottles through small provision stores, medical stores and pooja stores. With an initial investment of Rs.10,000/-own funds and Rs.15,000/- borrowed money he started a small business in 1990. Later in 1993 three more friends joined him and they plotted a company by the name Hexa Apiarium Pvt Ltd.
